The Jewish War Veterans (JWV) of the USA, organized in 1896 by Jewish Veterans of the Civil War, is the oldest active national veterans' service organization in America. Among JWV's activities are: promoting legislation assisting veterans, sponsoring projects on Jewish communal concerns, support of Israel, advocacy for Soviet Jewry, and combatting anti-Semitism. JWV is American Jewry's -- and indeed in many ways world Jewry's -- voice on Capitol Hill. You may, however, also find here sites about ANY Jewish veteran, military or civilian (for example, Resistance fighters), combattant or not (for example, medics, nurses, rabbis or drivers) of ANY war, from or in ANY country of the world.
