Sites only get to the top when someone visits them. How simple is that? Those that people actually visit survive. Those that don't just fade away....

Native Adoptees

Topic: American Cultures > Native American

Native AdopteesNative Americans were adopted out in alarming rates in the 1940's through the 1970's. In 1978 the Indian Child Welfare Act halted adoptions and fostering of Native children by other than Native people. BUT, many have slipped through the "system's" fingers. We Lost Birds from these past generations, and generations to come share a unique and frightening experience that only other Lost Birds can relate to. This Ring will, hopefully, help us to gather together and find "home" and healing.

For example: Colorado Native Americans, History and Genealogy - History and Genealogy for Native Americans in Colorado. Links to many Native American Culture, and History sites, as well as message boards to post queries.
